KID'S CAMP 2011

July 15-17, 2011

We are looking forward to another exciting year of camp! Camp will be held at Camp Sooner, 22281 Okay Road, located just southwest of Tecumseh, Oklahoma. The buildings, including the sleeping cabins, are all air-conditioned, which will prove necessary since camp is later this year. The dates for this year’s camp are Friday, July 15 through Sunday, July 17. We are holding camp over a weekend to enable more men to be able to attend. This seemed to help our 2009 and 2010 camp numbers. By only requiring one day off from work, each church had an easier time securing the required male sponsors. Kid’s Camp is a wonderful time for the children within our churches to come together to be touched by God’s presence and instructed in His word.

AGE GROUP

Kid’s camp is designed for those who have completed the first grade through those who have completed the sixth grade. Those who are 13 years old by June 1 may have the option of attending youth camp – with approval from their leaders. There are no provisions made either for activities or for childcare for younger children; therefore, each church must follow the requirements given and not bring any child who has not completed the first grade.

COUNSELORS

Please send one adult counselor from your church for every five children you bring. Male counselors, as well as female counselors, are a must. You may also send junior counselors to assist the adult counselors. You may bring up to one adult counselor for every five children and one junior counselor for every ten children. Junior counselors, however, must be mature and exemplify STRONG leadership qualities. Due to the availability of space and budget, we ask that you do not bring more than the allotted number of counselors/junior counselors. If you are unable to find junior counselors, please notify Chris Belyeu or Rhonda Gaines at 1-405-273-5331, and one will be provided for you.

Counselors are required to attend all classes and activities with their children. You will receive schedules and further information upon arrival.

COST

The cost of camp is $95.00 per camper, which includes a camp shirt, arts/activities fee, meals/snacks, swimming and insurance. Counselors and junior counselors are asked to pay for meals/snacks at the cost of $45.00. Counselors and junior counselors have the option of ordering camp shirts for an extra fee of $12.00. If your church wishes to bring more than the allotted number of counselors, full price must be paid by each additional counselor to cover the cost of the camp. All fees must be paid or postmarked by Thursday, July 7 or a late fee of $15 will be required. Camper and counselor fees are transferable but non-refundable.

CAMP SHIRTS

The children’s camp shirts will be available in the children’s sizes: S, M, L, & XL. Counselor camp shirts will be available in adult sizes: S, M, L, & XL. For an XXL shirt there will be an additional $2.00 cost.

FORMS & FEES

Please be sure that you have appropriate forms for EACH person attending camp. You can download and reproduce camp forms as needed: Junior counselors must have a parent permission/release form, as well as the children.
